It depends on the situation:

  • Establish what building situation applies (A, B or C).
  • Check the discharge height at which the system will be installed.
  • The necessary screening will depend on meteorological and building-related factors. Examples of these are direct and strong wind load, an entrance shielded by streets or across the general wind direction etc.
  • Flow arising solely through temperature differences between inside and outside during the heating period: between 0.3 and 1 m/s.
  • Where there is generally a low incoming flow, e.g. due to other properties in front on the pressure side of the building with incoming flow: between 1 and 3 m/s.
  • Where there is generally a strong incoming flow, e.g. position on corners or market squares with little shelter from properties in front: between 1 and 6 m/s. Considerably more in completely exposed areas out in the open.

SITUATION A

Door surfaces are on one side of the building. No notable possibilities to discharge air through thermal or chimney effect.

Air roll rotating inwards.

SITUATION B

Door surfaces are on one side of the building. Possibilities to discharge air into upper floors through thermal effect or outside through chimney effect

ADW INSTALLATION:

LAir roll rotating outwards.

SITUATION C

Unscreened door surfaces are also on other sides of buildings, e.g. at the side or opposite. The air discharge potential is identical to or greater than the size of the door surface to be screened.
