Friguvent cold Air Curtain systems are the modern entrance solution for cold storage and deep-freeze rooms. The units prevent air exchange and therefore make a significant contribution to energy savings when doors are frequently opened. In addition, the formation of mist and frost is reduced to a minimum.
The CONVERGO® pressure chamber nozzle system has an easy discharge angle adjustment and ensures best shielding results.

The air intake grille made of sheet metal with slotted holes is aerodynamically shaped and has an attractive appearance.
The fine adjustment by means of a grid enables the air discharge angle of the CONVERGO® nozzle to be set precisely.
The discharge opening of the patented CONVERGO® nozzle extends almost the entire length of the appliance without interruption. This ensures maximum efficiency when several appliances are installed in series.
The large nozzle cheeks ensure a clean air flow. An additional flow profile divides the air flow into a primary and secondary jet. The increased outlet velocity in the primary jet leads to an even greater penetration depth.
Housing types for every cold room situation
ADW installation
(external rotating air roll)
Installation in front of the cold room for a high shielding effect (cold room temperature < 0° C). By having the air intake from the freezer room side, a mixed temperature is created which reduces the risk of the temperature falling below the dew point.
IDW installation
(internally rotating air roll)
Installation in the cold room for a high shielding effect (cold room temperature > 0° C). The discharge direction is directed slightly towards the cold air, effectively preventing condensation on the ceiling and loss of cold air.
IDW installation
(internally rotating air roll)
Installation in front of the cold room with customer traffic (temp. cold room > 0° C) or in front of the deep-freeze room to protect against icing of the cold room ceiling (temp. cold room significantly < 0° C). In entrance areas of refrigerated sales rooms, this type of installation prevents the loss of cold and at the same time provides a convenient solution for customer traffic. In deep-freeze rooms, the penetration of warm air can be prevented with extremely low energy consumption, thus significantly reducing icing in the ceiling area.
