Teddington Air Curtains: Effective protection against heat loss
Protect open industrial gates
Open industrial doors and hall entrances are often the cause of high energy losses. The constant exchange of cold outside air and expensively heated inside air not only results in considerable energy consumption, but also unpleasant draughts.
The solution to this problem is Teddington's Air Curtains. These Air Curtains, specially developed for industrial applications, are extremely robust and powerful. They can be mounted both horizontally and vertically and offer reliable protection in daily use.
Thanks to the patented CONVERGO pressure chamber nozzle technology, Teddington air curtains guarantee optimum shielding. This leads to a rapid amortisation of the investment in a Teddington air curtain system, as it effectively saves energy and significantly improves the working environment.

Application example
Air curtain for factory traffic in a production hall
Requirement: In a production hall with several opposite hall doors, the air flows in at high speed, which leads to considerable temperature differences between different areas of the hall and the outside area. As a result, valuable energy is lost at the doors due to the air flowing out.
Solution: The installation of Ratiovent Air Curtains for industrial doors significantly reduces air acceleration and thus minimises energy loss at the doors. Despite the use of these Air Curtains, delivery and goods traffic is not restricted in any way. In addition, the workplaces near the doors benefit from an improved indoor climate and a significant reduction in draughts.
Application example
Air curtains in the dispatch area of the logistics
Requirement: During the unloading and loading process, the docking doors remain open, causing disruptive draughts and uncontrolled escape of conditioned room air from the hall.
Solution: The use of Teddington C-Series industrial Air Curtains above the doors provides effective shielding. This can save up to 80% of the thermal energy required to control the temperature of the room air. In addition, draughts are successfully contained, which significantly improves the working environment in the dispatch area.

Application example
Air curtain to prevent odour emissions at recycling centres
Requirement: Odour emissions at recycling centres are a major problem, especially in heavily populated areas.
Solution: Instead of installing a space-consuming and cost-intensive airlock, a TÜV-certified Teddington Air Curtain from the Induvent series is used at the gates of the recycling centre. This Air Curtain has proven its effectiveness through TÜV certification and offers operators a lean and equally effective alternative to a conventional airlock.
Application example
Prevent ice formation on doors in deep-freeze areas
Requirement: There are considerable temperature differences at the doors of deep-freeze rooms (e.g. -18°C in the deep-freeze room and +15 to 20°C in the anteroom) as well as differences in humidity. These conditions quickly lead to the formation of ice and frost on the floor when the doors are opened.
Solution: Teddington Friguvent Air Curtains are installed in the vestibule to solve this problem. The Teddington nozzle unit with tear-off edges on both sides, specially developed for use on coldrooms, reduces secondary air induction and optimises the airflow. With minimum air volume and maximum shielding, this door air curtain effectively prevents the formation of mist and unwanted hoar frost on the floor.
